1 Himno de David, (con instrumento) mijtam. ¡Guárdame, oh Dios, pues en Ti he confiado! 2 Tú, (Israel) dijiste al Señor: “Tú eres mi Amo; no Te corresponde concederme el bien (pues no lo merezco).” 3 (Sino que) por los santos que yacen en la tierra y los fuertes (en temor a Dios), en mérito a ellos cumples mis deseos. 4 Muchas son las aflicciones de los que se apresuran (en pos) de otros dioses. (Pero) yo no ofrendaré sus libaciones de sangre ni llevaré sus nombres sobre mis labios. 5 El Señor es la porción de mi herencia y de mi copa; Tú guías mi destino. 6 Mi parte cayó en lugares placenteros. Es hermosa mi herencia para mí. 7 Bendigo al Señor, que me aconsejó; también en la noche me amonestan mis pensamientos. 8 Al Señor he puesto siempre delante de mí, porque estando Él a mi diestra no resbalaré. 9 Por tanto se alegra mi corazón y se regocija mi alma; mi carne, también, descansa en paz; 10 porque no dejarás mi alma en el abismo ,ni permitirás que Tu piadoso vea el purgatorio. 11 Me harás conocer el sendero de la vida, la abundancia de alegrías en Tu presencia, las delicias que eternamente se hallan a Tu diestra.
| 1A michtam of David; O God, guard me for I have taken refuge in You. | אמִכְתָּ֣ם לְדָוִ֑ד שָֽׁמְרֵ֥נִי אֵ֜֗ל כִּֽי־חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽךְ: | |
| 2You should say to the Lord, “You are my Master; my good is not incumbent upon You. | באָמַ֣רְתְּ לַֽ֖יהֹוָה אֲדֹנָ֣י אָ֑תָּה ט֜וֹבָתִ֗י בַּל־עָלֶֽיךָ: | |
| 3For the holy ones who are in the earth, and the mighty ones in whom is all my delight. | גלִקְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָ֣רֶץ הֵ֑מָּה וְ֜אַדִּירֵ֗י כָּל־חֶפְצִי־בָֽם: | |
| 4May the sorrows of those who hasten after another [deity] increase; I will not pour their libations of blood, nor will I take their names upon my lips. | דיִרְבּ֥וּ עַצְּבוֹתָם֘ אַחֵ֪ר מָ֫הָ֥רוּ בַּל־אַסִּ֣יךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶ֣ם מִדָּ֑ם וּבַל־אֶשָּׂ֥א אֶת־שְׁ֜מוֹתָ֗ם עַל־שְׂפָתָֽי: | |
| 5The Lord is my allotted portion and my cup; You guide my destiny. | היְֽהֹוָ֗ה מְנָ֣ת חֶלְקִ֣י וְכוֹסִ֑י אַ֜תָּ֗ה תּוֹמִ֥יךְ גּוֹרָלִֽי: | |
| 6Portions have fallen to me in pleasant places; even the inheritance pleases me.” | וחֲבָלִ֣ים נָֽפְלוּ־לִ֖י בַּנְּעִמִ֑ים אַף־נַֽ֜חֲלָ֗ת שָֽׁפְרָ֥ה עָלָֽי: | |
| 7I will bless the Lord, Who counseled me; even at night my conscience instructs me. | זאֲבָרֵ֣ךְ אֶת־יְ֖הֹוָה אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְעָצָ֑נִי אַף־לֵ֜יל֗וֹת יִסְּר֥וּנִי כִלְיוֹתָֽי: | |
| 8I have placed the Lord before me constantly; because [He is] at my right hand, I will not falter. | חשִׁוִּ֬יתִי יְהֹוָ֣ה לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד כִּ֥י מִ֜ימִינִ֗י בַּל־אֶמּֽוֹט: | |
| 9Therefore, my heart rejoiced, and my soul was glad; even my flesh shall dwell in safety. | טלָכֵ֚ן | שָׂמַ֣ח לִ֖בִּי וַיָּ֣גֶל כְּבוֹדִ֑י אַף־בְּ֜שָׂרִ֗י יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָבֶֽטַח: | |
| 10For You shall not forsake my soul to the grave; You shall not allow Your pious one to see the pit. | יכִּ֚י | לֹא־תַֽעֲזֹ֣ב נַפְשִׁ֣י לִשְׁא֑וֹל לֹֽא־תִתֵּ֥ן חֲ֜סִֽידְךָ֗(כתיב חֲ֜סִֽידְיךָ֗) לִרְא֥וֹת שָֽׁחַת: | |
| 11You shall let me know the way of life, the fullness of joys in Your presence. There is pleasantness in Your right hand forever. | יאתּֽוֹדִיעֵנִי֘ אֹ֪רַח חַ֫יִּ֥ים שׂ֣בַע שְׂ֖מָחוֹת אֶת־פָּנֶ֑יךָ נְעִמ֖וֹת בִּימִֽינְךָ֣ נֶֽצַח: |
