| 1My son, if you accept my words, and treasure my commandments, | אבְּנִי אִם־תִּקַּ֣ח אֲמָרָ֑י וּ֜מִצְוֹתַ֗י תִּצְפֹּ֥ן אִתָּֽךְ: | |
| 2to make your ear attentive to wisdom, [if] you incline your heart to discernment; | בלְהַקְשִׁ֣יב לַֽחָכְמָ֣ה אָזְנֶ֑ךָ תַּטֶּ֥ה לִ֜בְּךָ֗ לַתְּבוּנָֽה: | |
| 3for, if you call for understanding [and] raise your voice for discernment, | גכִּ֤י אִ֣ם לַבִּינָ֣ה תִקְרָ֑א לַ֜תְּבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֶֽךָ: | |
| 4if you seek it like silver, and hunt for it like treasures, | דאִם־תְּבַקְשֶׁ֥נָּה כַכָּ֑סֶף וְֽכַמַּטְמוֹנִ֥ים תַּחְפְּשֶֹֽנָּה: | |
| 5then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and you will find the knowledge of God. | האָ֗ז תָּ֖בִין יִרְאַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְדַ֖עַת אֱלֹהִ֣ים תִּמְצָֽא: | |
| 6For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth [come] knowledge and discernment. | וכִּֽי־יְ֖הוָה יִתֵּ֣ן חָכְמָ֑ה מִ֜פִּ֗יו דַּ֣עַת וּתְבוּנָֽה: | |
| 7He lays up sound wisdom for the upright, a shield for those who walk in integrity; | זוִצְפֹּ֣ן יִצְפֹּ֣ן לַ֖יְשָׁרִים תּוּשִׁיָּ֑ה מָ֜גֵ֗ן לְהֹ֣לְכֵי תֹֽם: |

PROVERBIOS 2
2(1) Hijo mío, si quieres recibir mis palabras y guardar mis mandamientos dentro de ti, (2) de manera que tu oído escuche sabiduría y tu corazón se incline por el discernimiento; (3) sí, si invocas la inteligencia y alzas tu voz en procura del entendimiento; (4) si la buscas (a la inteligencia) como plata, y escudriñas por ella como por tesoro oculto, (5) comprenderás el temor del Eterno y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios. (6) Por cuanto el Eterno otorga sabiduría. De su boca salen el conocimiento y la inteligencia. (7) Para los rectos tiene guardada la sana sabiduría. El es un escudo para los que andan en integridad. (
