Shemot – Exodus – Chapter 3
| 1Moses was pasturing the flocks of Jethro, his father in law, the chief of Midian, and he led the flocks after the free pastureland, and he came to the mountain of God, to Horeb. | אוּמשֶׁ֗ה הָיָ֥ה רֹעֶ֛ה אֶת־צֹ֛אן יִתְר֥וֹ חֹֽתְנ֖וֹ כֹּהֵ֣ן מִדְיָ֑ן וַיִּנְהַ֤ג אֶת־הַצֹּאן֙ אַחַ֣ר הַמִּדְבָּ֔ר וַיָּבֹ֛א אֶל־הַ֥ר הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים חֹרֵֽבָה: | |
| 2An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from within the thorn bush, and behold, the thorn bush was burning with fire, but the thorn bush was not being consumed. | בוַיֵּרָ֠א מַלְאַ֨ךְ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֵלָ֛יו בְּלַבַּת־אֵ֖שׁ מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֑ה וַיַּ֗רְא וְהִנֵּ֤ה הַסְּנֶה֙ בֹּעֵ֣ר בָּאֵ֔שׁ וְהַסְּנֶ֖ה אֵינֶ֥נּוּ אֻכָּֽל: | |
| 3So Moses said, “Let me turn now and see this great spectacle why does the thorn bush not burn up?” | גוַיֹּ֣אמֶר משֶׁ֔ה אָסֻֽרָה־נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה אֶת־הַמַּרְאֶ֥ה הַגָּדֹ֖ל הַזֶּ֑ה מַדּ֖וּעַ לֹֽא־יִבְעַ֥ר הַסְּנֶֽה: | |
| 4The Lord saw that he had turned to see, and God called to him from within the thorn bush, and He said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am!” | דוַיַּ֥רְא יְהֹוָ֖ה כִּ֣י סָ֣ר לִרְא֑וֹת וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֵלָ֨יו אֱלֹהִ֜ים מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֗ה וַיֹּ֛אמֶר משֶׁ֥ה משֶׁ֖ה וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי: | |
| 5And He said, “Do not draw near here. Take your shoes off your feet, because the place upon which you stand is holy soil.” | הוַיֹּ֖אמֶר אַל־תִּקְרַ֣ב הֲלֹ֑ם שַׁל־נְעָלֶ֨יךָ֙ מֵעַ֣ל רַגְלֶ֔יךָ כִּ֣י הַמָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ עוֹמֵ֣ד עָלָ֔יו אַדְמַת־קֹ֖דֶשׁ הֽוּא: | |
| 6And He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look toward God. | ווַיֹּ֗אמֶר אָֽנֹכִי֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֔יךָ אֱלֹהֵ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֖ק וֵֽאלֹהֵ֣י יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב וַיַּסְתֵּ֤ר משֶׁה֙ פָּנָ֔יו כִּ֣י יָרֵ֔א מֵֽהַבִּ֖יט אֶל־הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים: | |
| 7And the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their slave drivers, for I know their pains. | זוַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֔ה רָאֹ֥ה רָאִ֛יתִי אֶת־עֳנִ֥י עַמִּ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם וְאֶת־צַֽעֲקָתָ֤ם שָׁמַ֨עְתִּי֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י נֹֽגְשָׂ֔יו כִּ֥י יָדַ֖עְתִּי אֶת־מַכְאֹבָֽיו: | |
| 8I have descended to rescue them from the hand[s] of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land, to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivvites, and the Jebusites. | חוָֽאֵרֵ֞ד לְהַצִּיל֣וֹ | מִיַּ֣ד מִצְרַ֗יִם וּלְהַֽעֲלֹתוֹ֘ מִן־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִוא֒ אֶל־אֶ֤רֶץ טוֹבָה֙ וּרְחָבָ֔ה אֶל־אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ אֶל־מְק֤וֹם הַכְּנַֽעֲנִי֙ וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י וְהַֽחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִֽי: | |
| 9And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression that the Egyptians are oppressing them. | טוְעַתָּ֕ה הִנֵּ֛ה צַֽעֲקַ֥ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בָּ֣אָה אֵלָ֑י וְגַם־רָאִ֨יתִי֙ אֶת־הַלַּ֔חַץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִצְרַ֖יִם לֹֽחֲצִ֥ים אֹתָֽם: | |
| 10So now come, and I will send you to Pharaoh, and take My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” | יוְעַתָּ֣ה לְכָ֔ה וְאֶשְׁלָֽחֲךָ֖ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְהוֹצֵ֛א אֶת־עַמִּ֥י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִמִּצְרָֽיִם: | |
| 11But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should take the children of Israel out of Egypt?” | יאוַיֹּ֤אמֶר משֶׁה֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים מִ֣י אָנֹ֔כִי כִּ֥י אֵלֵ֖ךְ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְכִ֥י אוֹצִ֛יא אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִמִּצְרָֽיִם: | |
| 12And He said, “For I will be with you, and this is the sign for you that it was I Who sent you. When you take the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” | יבוַיֹּ֨אמֶר֙ כִּי־אֶֽהְיֶ֣ה עִמָּ֔ךְ וְזֶה־לְּךָ֣ הָא֔וֹת כִּ֥י אָֽנֹכִ֖י שְׁלַחְתִּ֑יךָ בְּהוֹצִֽיאֲךָ֤ אֶת־הָעָם֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם תַּֽעַבְדוּן֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים עַ֖ל הָהָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה: | |
| 13And Moses said to God, “Behold I come to the children of Israel, and I say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” | יגוַיֹּ֨אמֶר משֶׁ֜ה אֶל־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים הִנֵּ֨ה אָֽנֹכִ֣י בָא֘ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וְאָֽמַרְתִּ֣י לָהֶ֔ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם שְׁלָחַ֣נִי אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם וְאָֽמְרוּ־לִ֣י מַה־שְּׁמ֔וֹ מָ֥ה אֹמַ֖ר אֲלֵהֶֽם: | |
| 14God said to Moses, “Ehyeh asher ehyeh (I will be what I will be),” and He said, “So shall you say to the children of Israel, ‘Ehyeh (I will be) has sent me to you.'” | ידוַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל־משֶׁ֔ה אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽהְיֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם: | |
| 15And God said further to Moses, “So shall you say to the children of Israel, ‘The Lord God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I should be mentioned in every generation. | טווַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ ע֨וֹד אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶל־משֶׁ֗ה כֹּ֣ה תֹאמַר֘ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם אֱלֹהֵ֨י אַבְרָהָ֜ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֛ק וֵֽאלֹהֵ֥י יַֽעֲקֹ֖ב שְׁלָחַ֣נִי אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם זֶה־שְּׁמִ֣י לְעֹלָ֔ם וְזֶ֥ה זִכְרִ֖י לְדֹ֥ר דֹּֽר: |
ÉXODO 3(1-15)
3(1) Y Moisés apacentaba el ganado de Jetro, su suegro, sacerdote de Madián, guiándolo por el desierto cuando llegó a Horeb, el monte de Dios.
(2) Y se le apareció el ángel del Eterno en medio de las llamas de fuego entre las zarzas, y vio que la zarza, a pesar del fuego, no se consumía.
(3) Entonces dijo Moisés: “Me apartaré para ver mejor esa gran visión. ¿Por qué no se quema del todo la zarza”?.
(4) Y el Eterno, cuando vio que se acercaba a la zarza, lo llamó: “¡Moisés, Moisés!”. Y le cointestó Moisés: “Heme aquí”.
(5) Y le dijo: “No te acerques. Quítate tu calzado, pues el lugar donde estás es tierra sagrada”.
(6) Y añadió: “Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob”. Y Moisés se cubrió el rostro, pues temió mirar a Dios.
(7) Y dijo el Eterno: “He visto la aflicción de Mi pueblo en Egipto y escuché su clamor por los padecimientos a que lo someten sus opresores,
(8) y descendí para librarlos de manos de los egipcios y para llevarlos de esa tierra a la tierra buena y ancha, tierra que mana leche y miel donde viven los cananeos, los heteos, los amorreos, los ferezeos, los heveos y los jebuseos.
(9) He aquí que el clamor de los hijos de Israel llega hasta Mí y veo la opresión que sufre de mano de los egipcios.
(10) Anda ahora, que te enviaré al faraón para sacar a Mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto”.
(11) Y le contestó Moisés: ¿Pero quien soy yo para ir al faraón y librar a los hijos de Israel de Egipto?”.
(12) Y le replicó el Eterno: “Es que Yo estaré contigo, y ésta será la señal de ello: cuando hayas sacado de Egipto al pueblo, rendiréis culto a Dios en este monte (y entonces verán)”.
(13) Y le dijo Moisés: “Está bien. Iré a los hijos de Israel y les diré: “El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado a vosotros”, más si entonces me preguntan cuál es Su Nombre, ¿qué les diré?.
(14) Y le contestó Dios: “Yo soy El que soy”. Y agregó: “Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: Yo soy me envió a vosotros“,
(15) Y añadió: “Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: el Eterno, Dios de Vuestros padres, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob me envió a vosotros. Éste es Mi Nombre para siempre y ésta es Mi memorias de generación en generación”.

| 1A song with musical accompaniment of the sons of Korah, for the conductor, about the sick and afflicted one, a maskil of Heman the Ezrahite. | אשִׁ֥יר מִזְמ֗וֹר לִבְנֵ֫י קֹ֥רַח לַֽמְנַצֵּ֣חַ עַל־מַֽחֲלַ֣ת לְעַנּ֑וֹת מַ֜שְׂכִּ֗יל לְהֵימָ֥ן הָֽאֶזְרָחִֽי: | |
| 2O Lord, the God of my salvation! I cried by day; at night I was opposite You. | ביְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יְשֽׁוּעָתִ֑י י֚וֹם צָעַ֖קְתִּי בַלַּ֣יְלָה נֶגְדֶּֽךָ: | |
| 3May my prayer come before You; extend Your ear to my supplication. | גתָּב֣וֹא לְ֖פָנֶֽיךָ תְּפִלָּתִ֑י הַטֵּ֥ה אָ֜זְנְךָ֗ לְרִנָּתִֽי: | |
| 4For my soul is sated with troubles, and my life has reached the grave. | דכִּי־שָֽׂבְעָ֣ה בְרָע֣וֹת נַפְשִׁ֑י וְחַ֜יַּ֗י לִשְׁא֥וֹל הִגִּֽיעוּ: | |
| 5I was counted with those who descend into the Pit; I was like a man without strength. | הנֶחְשַׁבְתִּי עִם־י֣וֹרְדֵי ב֑וֹר הָ֜יִ֗יתִי כְּגֶ֣בֶר אֵין־אֱיָֽל: | |
| 6I am considered among the dead who are free, as the slain who lie in the grave, whom You no longer remember and who were cut off by Your hand. | ובַּמֵּתִ֗ים חָ֫פְשִׁ֥י כְּמ֚וֹ חֲלָלִ֨ים | שֹׁ֥כְבֵי קֶ֗בֶר אֲשֶׁ֚ר לֹ֣א זְכַרְתָּ֣ם ע֑וֹד וְ֜הֵ֗מָּה מִיָּֽדְךָ֥ נִגְזָֽרוּ: | |
| 7You have put me into the lowest pit, into dark places, into depths. | זשַׁתַּנִי בְּב֣וֹר תַּחְתִּיּ֑וֹת בְּ֜מַֽחֲשַׁכִּ֗ים בִּמְצֹלֽוֹת: | |
| 8Your wrath lies hard upon me, and [with] all Your waves You have afflicted [me] constantly. | חעָלַי סָֽמְכָ֣ה חֲמָתֶ֑ךָ וְכָל־מִ֜שְׁבָּרֶ֗יךָ עִנִּ֥יתָ סֶּֽלָה: | |
| 9You have estranged my friends from me; You have made me an abomination to them; [I am] imprisoned and cannot go out. | טהִרְחַ֥קְתָּ מְיֻדָּעַ֗י מִ֫מֶּ֥נִּי שַׁתַּ֣נִי תֽוֹעֵב֣וֹת לָ֑מוֹ כָּ֜לֻ֗א וְלֹ֣א אֵצֵֽא: | |
| 10My eye has failed because of affliction; I have called You every day, I have spread out my palms to You. | יעֵינִ֥י דָֽאֲבָ֗ה מִנִּ֫י עֹ֥נִי קְרָאתִ֣יךָ יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּכָל־י֑וֹם שִׁטַּ֖חְתִּי אֵלֶ֣יךָ כַפָּֽי: | |
| 11Will You perform a wonder for the dead? Will the shades rise and thank You forever? | יאהֲלַמֵּתִ֥ים תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־פֶּ֑לֶא אִם רְפָאִ֥ים יָ֜ק֗וּמוּ יוֹד֥וּךָ סֶּֽלָה: | |
| 12Will Your kindness be told in the grave, Your faith in destruction? | יבהַיְסֻפַּ֣ר בַּקֶּ֣בֶר חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ אֱ֜מוּנָֽתְךָ֗ בָּֽאֲבַדּֽוֹן: | |
| 13Will Your wonder be known in the darkness, or Your righteousness in the land of oblivion? | יגהֲיִוָּדַ֣ע בַּחֹ֣שֶׁךְ פִּלְאֶ֑ךָ וְ֜צִדְקָֽתְךָ֗ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ נְשִׁיָּֽה: | |
| 14As for me, O Lord, I have cried out to You, and in the morning my prayer comes before You. | ידוַֽאֲנִ֚י | אֵלֶ֣יךָ יְהֹוָ֣ה שִׁוַּ֑עְתִּי וּ֜בַבֹּ֗קֶר תְּפִלָּתִ֥י תְקַדְּמֶֽךָּ: | |
| 15Why, O Lord, do You abandon my soul, do You hide Your countenance from me? | טולָמָ֣ה יְ֖הֹוָה תִּזְנַ֣ח נַפְשִׁ֑י תַּסְתִּ֖יר פָּנֶ֣יךָ מִמֶּֽנִּי: | |
| 16I am poor, and close to sudden death; I have borne Your fear, it is well-founded. | טזעָ֘נִ֚י אֲנִ֣י וְגוֵֹ֣עַ מִנֹּ֑עַר נָשָׂ֖אתִי אֵמֶ֣יךָ אָפֽוּנָה: | |
| 17Your fires of wrath have passed over me; Your terrors have cut me off. | יזעָלַי עָֽבְר֣וּ חֲרוֹנֶ֑יךָ בִּ֖עוּתֶ֣יךָ צִמְּתֻתֽוּנִי: | |
| 18They surround me like water all the day; they encompass me together. | יחסַבּ֣וּנִי כַ֖מַּיִם כָּל־הַיּ֑וֹם הִקִּ֖יפוּ עָלַ֣י יָֽחַד: | |
| 19You have estranged from me lover and friend; my acquaintances are in a place of darkness. | יטהִרְחַ֣קְתָּ מִ֖מֶּנִּי אֹהֵ֣ב וָרֵ֑עַ מְיֻדָּעַ֥י מַחְשָֽׁךְ: |
88(1) Cántico. Salmo de los hijos de Coro. para el director del coro. Al Majalat leanot, Mástil de Heimán ezrahíta.
(2) ¡Oh Eterno, Dios de mi salvación! Día y noche clamo a Ti.
(3) Llegue mi oración a Ti. Inclina Tu oido ante mi clamor.
(4) Porque mi alma está harta de pesares, y mi vida se acerca a la tumba.
(5) Soy cortado con los que bajan al hoyo, me he vuelto como un hombre que no tiene ayuda,
(6) postrado entre los muertos, como los degollados que yacen en el sepulcro, a quienes Tú no recuerdas más, y son cortados de Tu mano.
(7) Me has puesto en el abismo más profundo, en lugares oscuros, en las profundidades.
(8) Tu ira me castiga duramente, y me aprietas con todo Tu furor. Selá,
(9) Has alejado de mi a mis conocidos, haciéndome una abominación para ellos. Estoy ahogado, y no puedo salir.
(10) Mis ojos languidecen de tanto llorar. Te he llamado, Oh Eterno, todos los días.
(11) ¿Harás maravillas por los muetos? ¿Se levantarán las sombras y Te alabarán? Selá.
(12) ¿Acaso Tu misericordia será declarada en la tumba, o Tu fidelidad en la destrucción?
(13) ¿Serán conocidas Tus maravillas en las tinieblas, y Tu justicia en la tierra del olvido?.
(14) Pero en cuanto a mí, clamo a Ti, oh Eterno, y por la mañana corre mi oración a encontrarse contigo.
(15) Eterno, ¿por qué rechazaste mi alma? ¿Por qué ocultas tu rostro de mí?
(16) Padezco desde mi mocedad hasta el punto de la muerte. He soportado Tu terrores y me desespero.
(17) Tu ardiente ira me ha apabullado. Tus terrores me han paralizado,
(18) me asaltan como el agua todo el día, rodeándome.
(19) Al amigo y al compañero alejaste de mí. Pusiste a mis conocidos en las tinieblas.

| 2The kindnesses of the Lord I shall sing forever; to generation after generation I shall make known Your faithfulness, with my mouth. | בחַֽסְדֵּ֣י יְ֖הֹוָה עוֹלָ֣ם אָשִׁ֑ירָה לְדֹ֥ר וָדֹ֓ר | אוֹדִ֖יעַ אֱמוּנָֽתְךָ֣ בְּפִֽי: | |
| 3For I said, “Forever will it be built with kindness; as the heavens, with which You will establish Your faithfulness.” | גכִּֽי־אָמַ֗רְתִּי ע֖וֹלָם חֶ֣סֶד יִבָּנֶ֑ה שָׁמַ֓יִם | תָּכִ֖ן אֱמוּנָֽתְךָ֣ בָהֶֽם: | |
| 4I formed a covenant with My chosen one; I swore to David My servant. | דכָּרַ֣תִּי בְ֖רִית לִבְחִירִ֑י נִ֜שְׁבַּ֗עְתִּי לְדָוִ֥ד עַבְדִּֽי: | |
| 5Until eternity, I shall establish your seed, and I shall build your throne for all generations forever. | העַד־ע֖וֹלָם אָכִ֣ין זַרְעֶ֑ךָ וּבָנִ֨יתִי לְדֹֽר־וָד֖וֹר כִּסְאֲךָ֣ סֶֽלָה: | |
| 6And the heavens acknowledge Your wonder, O Lord, also Your faithfulness in the congregation of holy ones. | ווְיוֹד֣וּ שָׁ֖מַיִם פִּלְאֲךָ֣ יְהֹוָ֑ה אַף־אֱ֜מוּנָֽתְךָ֗ בִּקְהַ֥ל קְדֹשִֽׁים: | |
| 7For who in the heavens is equal to the Lord? [Who] resembles the Lord among the sons of the mighty? | זכִּ֚י מִ֣י בַ֖שַּׁחַק יַֽעֲרֹ֣ךְ לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה יִדְמֶ֥ה לַֽ֜יהֹוָ֗ה בִּבְנֵ֥י אֵלִֽים: | |
| 8God is revered in the great council of the holy ones and feared by all around Him. | חאֵ֣ל נַֽ֖עֲרָץ בְּסוֹד־קְדֹשִׁ֣ים רַבָּ֑ה וְ֜נוֹרָ֗א עַל־כָּל־סְבִיבָֽיו: | |
| 9O Lord, God of Hosts, who is like You, O Yah, Who are mighty? And Your faithfulness surrounds You. | טיְהֹוָ֨ה | אֱלֹ֘הֵ֚י צְבָא֗וֹת מִֽי־כָמ֖וֹךָ חֲסִ֥ין | יָ֑הּ וֶֽ֜אֱמוּנָֽתְךָ֗ סְבִֽיבוֹתֶֽיךָ: | |
| 10You rule over the pride of the sea; when it raises its waves, You humble them. | יאַתָּ֣ה מ֖וֹשֵׁל בְּגֵא֣וּת הַיָּ֑ם בְּשׂ֥וֹא גַ֜לָּ֗יו אַתָּ֥ה תְשַׁבְּחֵֽם: | |
| 11You crushed Rahab like one slain; with the arm of Your might You scattered Your enemies. | יאאַתָּ֚ה דִכִּ֣אתָ כֶֽחָלָ֣ל רָ֑הַב בִּזְר֥וֹעַ עֻ֜זְּךָ֗ פִּזַּ֥רְתָּ אֽוֹיְבֶֽיךָ: | |
| 12The heaven is Yours, even the earth is Yours; the inhabited earth and the fullness thereof-You founded them. | יבלְךָ֣ שָׁ֖מַיִם אַף־לְךָ֣ אָ֑רֶץ תֵּבֵ֥ל וּ֜מְלֹאָ֗הּ אַתָּ֥ה יְסַדְתָּֽם: | |
