Yechezkel – Ezekiel – Chapter 7

1 The word of the Lord came to me, saying:		אוַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר:
2 ” As for you, son of man, so said the Lord God: ‘To the soil of Israel, an end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.		בוְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה לְאַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל קֵ֑ץ בָּ֣א הַקֵּ֔ץ עַל־אַרְבַּ֖ע (כתיב אַרְבַּ֖עת) כַּנְפ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ:
3 Now the end is upon you, and I shall send forth My wrath upon you and judge you according to your ways, and I shall repay you for all your abominations.		געַתָּה֙ הַקֵּ֣ץ עָלַ֔יִךְ וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֚י אַפִּי֙ בָּ֔ךְ וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ וְנָתַתִּ֣י עָלַ֔יִךְ אֵ֖ת כָּל־תּֽוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ:
4 And My eye will not spare you, and I shall not have pity, for I shall place your ways upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst, and you will know that I am the Lord.’		דוְלֹֽא־תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֛י עָלַ֖יִךְ וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמ֑וֹל כִּ֣י דְרָכַ֜יִךְ עָלַ֣יִךְ אֶתֵּ֗ן וְתֽוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ תִּֽהְיֶ֔יןָ וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה:
5 So said the Lord God: An evil, a singular evil, behold, it comes.		הכֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה רָעָ֛ה אַחַ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִנֵּ֥ה בָאָֽה:
6 An end has come; the end has come, it has awakened against you; behold, it comes.		וקֵ֣ץ בָּ֔א בָּ֥א הַקֵּ֖ץ הֵקִ֣יץ אֵלָ֑יִךְ הִנֵּ֖ה בָּאָֽה:
7 The dawn has set against you, O dweller of the land; the time has come; the day is near, confusion and not the shout of the mountains.		זבָּ֧אָה הַצְּפִירָ֛ה אֵלֶ֖יךָ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב הָאָ֑רֶץ בָּ֣א הָעֵ֗ת קָר֛וֹב הַיּ֥וֹם מְהוּמָ֖ה וְלֹא־הֵ֥ד הָרִֽים:
8 Now, speedily I shall pour out My fury upon you, and I shall spend My wrath in you, and I shall judge you according to your ways, and I shall place upon you all your abominations.		חעַתָּ֣ה מִקָּר֗וֹב אֶשְׁפּ֚וֹךְ חֲמָתִי֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ וְכִלֵּיתִ֚י אַפִּי֙ בָּ֔ךְ וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ וְנָֽתַתִּ֣י עָלַ֔יִךְ אֵ֖ת כָּל־תּֽוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ:
9 And My eye will not spare, and I shall not pity. According to your ways I shall place upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst; and you will know that I, the Lord, am smiting.		טוְלֹֽא־תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֖י וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמ֑וֹל כִּדְרָכַ֜יִךְ עָלַ֣יִךְ אֶתֵּ֗ן וְתֽוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ תִּֽהְיֶ֔יןָ וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מַכֶּֽה:
10 Behold the day; behold, it is coming; the dawn has gone forth; the staff has budded, the willful wickedness has blossomed.		יהִנֵּ֥ה הַיּ֖וֹם הִנֵּ֣ה בָאָ֑ה יָֽצְאָה֙ הַצְּפִרָ֔ה צָץ הַמַּטֶּ֔ה פָּרַ֖ח הַזָּדֽוֹן:
11 The violence has arisen as a staff of wickedness, [none will remain,] neither from them nor from their multitude, nor from their children, and no one among them longs [for Me].		יאהֶֽחָמָ֥ס קָ֖ם לְמַטֵּה־רֶ֑שַׁע לֹֽא־מֵהֶ֞ם וְלֹ֧א מֵֽהֲמוֹנָ֛ם וְלֹ֥א מֵֽהֱמֵהֶ֖ם וְלֹֽא־נֹ֥הַּ בָּהֶֽם:
12 The time has come; the day has arrived. The purchaser will not rejoice, neither will the seller mourn, for there will be wrath upon all her multitude.		יבבָּ֚א הָעֵת֙ הִגִּ֣יעַ הַיּ֔וֹם הַקּוֹנֶה֙ אַל־יִשְׂמָ֔ח וְהַמּוֹכֵ֖ר אַל־יִתְאַבָּ֑ל כִּ֥י חָר֖וֹן אֶל־כָּל־הֲמוֹנָֽהּ:
13 For the seller will not return to that which was sold as long as they are alive, for when the prophecy was [directed] to all her multitude, they did not repent, and each man’s soul is in his iniquity; they do not strengthen themselves.		יגכִּ֣י הַמּוֹכֵ֗ר אֶל־הַמִּמְכָּר֙ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֔וּב וְע֥וֹד בַּֽחַיִּ֖ים חַיָּתָ֑ם כִּֽי־חָז֚וֹן אֶל־כָּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ֙ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֔וּב וְאִ֧ישׁ בַּֽעֲו‍ֹנ֛וֹ חַיָּת֖וֹ לֹֽא־יִתְחַזָּֽקוּ:
14 They sound the shofar and they prepare everyone, but no one goes forth to war, because My wrath is upon all her multitude.		ידתָּֽקְע֚וּ בַתָּק֙וֹעַ֙ וְהָכִ֣ין הַכֹּ֔ל וְאֵ֥ין הֹלֵ֖ךְ לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה כִּ֥י חֲרוֹנִ֥י אֶל־כָּל־הֲמוֹנָֽהּ:
15 The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine are inside; whoever is in the field will die by the sword, and whoever is in the city-famine and pestilence will consume him.		טוהַחֶ֣רֶב בַּח֔וּץ וְהַדֶּ֥בֶר וְהָֽרָעָ֖ב מִבָּ֑יִת אֲשֶׁ֚ר בַּשָּׂדֶה֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יָמ֔וּת וַֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּעִ֔יר רָעָ֥ב וָדֶ֖בֶר יֹֽאכְלֶֽנּוּ:
16 And their survivors will escape, and they will be upon the mountains; like the doves of the valleys, they all moan, each one for his iniquity.		טזוּפָֽלְטוּ֙ פְּלִ֣יטֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָי֣וּ אֶל־הֶֽהָרִ֗ים כְּיוֹנֵ֧י הַגֵּֽאָי֛וֹת כֻּלָּ֖ם הֹמ֑וֹת אִ֖ישׁ בַּֽעֲו‍ֹנֽוֹ:
17 All hands will weaken, and all knees will go [like] water.		יזכָּל־הַיָּדַ֖יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה וְכָל־בִּרְכַּ֖יִם תֵּלַ֥כְנָה מָּֽיִם:
18 And they will gird themselves with sackcloth, and terror will cover them, with shame on every face and baldness on all their heads.		יחוְחָגְר֣וּ שַׂקִּ֔ים וְכִסְּתָ֥ה אוֹתָ֖ם פַּלָּצ֑וּת וְאֶ֚ל כָּל־פָּנִים֙ בּוּשָׁ֔ה וּבְכָל־רָֽאשֵׁיהֶ֖ם קָרְחָֽה:
19 They will cast their silver into the streets, and their gold will be repugnant; their silver and their gold will not be able to save them on the day of the Lord’s wrath; they will not state their souls, neither will they fill their bowels, for the obstacle was because of their iniquity.		יטכַּסְפָּ֞ם בַּֽחוּצ֣וֹת יַשְׁלִ֗יכוּ וּזְהָבָם֘ לְנִדָּ֣ה יִֽהְיֶה֒ כַּסְפָּ֨ם וּזְהָבָ֜ם לֹֽא־יוּכַ֣ל לְהַצִּילָ֗ם בְּיוֹם֙ עֶבְרַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֔ה נַפְשָׁם֙ לֹ֣א יְשַׂבֵּ֔עוּ וּמֵֽעֵיהֶ֖ם לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּ֑אוּ כִּֽי־מִכְשׁ֥וֹל עֲו‍ֹנָ֖ם הָיָֽה:
20 And the beauty of His adornment is what he made for [their] pride, but they made there the despicable images of their abominations; therefore I made it repugnant to them.		כוּצְבִ֚י עֶדְיוֹ֙ לְגָא֣וֹן שָׂמָ֔הוּ וְצַלְמֵ֧י תֽוֹעֲבֹתָ֛ם שִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֖ם עָ֣שׂוּ ב֑וֹ עַל־כֵּ֛ן נְתַתִּ֥יו לָהֶ֖ם לְנִדָּֽה:
21 And I shall give it into the hands of strangers for prey and to the wicked of the earth for plunder, and they will profane it.		כאוּנְתַתִּ֚יו בְּיַד־הַזָּרִים֙ לָבַ֔ז וּלְרִשְׁעֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ לְשָׁלָ֑ל וְחִלְּלֽוּהוּ (כתיב וְחִלְּלֽוּהֻ) :
22 And I shall turn My face away from them, and they will profane My secret place, and wild men will enter it and profane it.		כבוַֽהֲסִבֹּתִ֚י פָנַי֙ מֵהֶ֔ם וְחִלְּל֖וּ אֶת־צְפוּנִ֑י וּבָֽאוּ־בָ֥הּ פָּֽרִיצִ֖ים וְחִלְּלֽוּהָ:
23 Make the chain, for the land, is full of crimes of bloodshed, and the city is full of violence.		כגעֲשֵׂ֖ה הָֽרַתּ֑וֹק כִּ֣י הָאָ֗רֶץ מָֽלְאָה֙ מִשְׁפַּ֣ט דָּמִ֔ים וְהָעִ֖יר מָֽלְאָ֥ה חָמָֽס:
24 And I shall bring the most wicked of the nations, and they shall inherit their houses, and I shall abolish the pride of the brazen, and they will deliver their meeting places as an inheritance.		כדוְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ רָעֵ֣י גוֹיִ֔ם וְיָֽרְשׁ֖וּ אֶת־בָּֽתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ גְּא֣וֹן עַזִּ֔ים וְנִֽחֲל֖וּ מְקַדְשֵׁיהֶֽם:
25 A cutting-off comes, and they will seek peace, but it will not be there.		כהקְפָ֖דָה בָּ֑א וּבִקְשׁ֥וּ שָׁל֖וֹם וָאָֽיִן:
26 Happening upon happening will come, and news shall be upon the news, and they will seek prophecy from a prophet, and instruction will be lost from a priest, and counsel from the elders.		כוהוָֹ֚ה עַל־הוָֹה֙ תָּב֔וֹא וּשְׁמֻעָ֥ה אֶל־שְׁמוּעָ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה וּבִקְשׁ֚וּ חָזוֹן֙ מִנָּבִ֔יא וְתוֹרָה֙ תֹּאבַ֣ד מִכֹּהֵ֔ן וְעֵצָ֖ה מִזְּקֵנִֽים:
27 The king will mourn, and the prince will be attired with appalling, and the hands of the people of the land will be frightened; of their way I shall act with them, and with their judgments, I shall judge them, and they shall know that I am the Lord.		כזהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יִתְאַבָּ֗ל וְנָשִׂיא֙ יִלְבַּ֣שׁ שְׁמָמָ֔ה וִידֵ֥י עַם־הָאָ֖רֶץ תִּבָּהַ֑לְנָה מִדַּרְכָּ֞ם אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֚ה אוֹתָם֙ וּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣ם אֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם וְיָֽדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה:

EZEQUIEL 7

(1) Y me vino la palabra del Eterno, diciendome:

(2) “Y tú hijo de hombre, así dice Dios el Eterno en lo que atañe a la tierra de Israel: ¡El fin, el fin a llegado sobre los cuatro confines de la tierra!

(3) Ahora es el fin sobre ti y Yo enviaré Mi ira sobre ti, te juzgaré según tus caminos y haré recaer sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.

(4) Y Mi ojo no se compadecerá de ti porque no tendré compasión. Sino que haré recaer tus caminos sobre ti, y tus abominaciones estarán en medio de ti; así sabréis que Yo soy el Eterno.

(5) Así dice el Eterno: He aquí que viene un mal, un mal singular.

(6) Un fin ha venido. El fin a llegado: se despierta contra ti.  He aquí que viene.

(7) Te ha llegado el turno, oh morador de la tierra. Ha llegado el tiempo fijado. Cercano está el día del tumulto y no de alborozo, sobre la montañas.

(8) Dentro de poco tiempo, derramaré Mi ira sobre ti y descargaré Mi cólera sobre ti, te juzgaré conforme a tus caminos y haré recaer sobre ti todas sus abominaciones.

(9) Y Mi ojo no se compadecerá de ti porque no tendré compación. Te haré conforme a tus caminos, tus abominaciones estarán en medio de ti y sabré que Yo el Eterno, castigo.

(10) He aquí que viene el día, viene el turno. La vara ha florecido, la arrogancia ha echado flor.

(11) La violencia se tornó en vara de maldad. Nada quedará de ellos, ni de su tumulto, ni de su confusión, ni de su esplendor.

(12) Viene el tiempo, se acerca el día. Que no se alegre el comprador, ni se lamente el vendedor porque la ira estará sobre todos por igual.

(13) Por cuanto el vendedor no se volverá a lo que haya vendido aunque esté todavía vivo, porque la visión es contra toda la multitud, la cual no retornará, ni nadie quedará con lo que posea por la iniquidad de su vida.

(14) Han tocado la trompeta y se han preparado pero nadie va a la batalla, porque Mi ira es sobre toda la multitud de ellos.

(15) La espada está por fuera y por dentro están la peste y el hambre. El que esté en el campo morirá con la espada, y el que esté en  la ciudad será devorado por el hambre y la peste.

(16) Pero los que escapen de todo ello estarán en las montañas como las palomas de los valles, todo ellos lamentándose, cada cúal por su iniquidad.

(17) Todas las manos se aflojarán y de todas las rodillas brotará agua.

(18) También se ceñirá de saco y el horror les cubrirá, la vergüenza estará sobre todos los rostros y la calvez sobre todas sus cabezas.

(19) Arrojarás su plata en las calles y su oro como cosa impura. Su plata y su oro no serán capaces de librarlos en el día de la ira del Eterno. No satisfará sus almas, ni saciará sus vientres porque ello ha sido el tropiezo de su iniquidad.

(20) Y en lo que concierne a la belleza de su ornamento que era motivo de orgullo, que hicieron para las imagenes de sus abominaciones, he convertido eso en cosa impura.

(21) Y lo entregaré en las mano de los extraños como presa y a los malvados de la tierra como despojo, los caules los profanarán.

(22) Además, volveré Mi rostro de ellos y ellos profanarán Mi lugar secreto; entrarán en él salteadores que lo profanarán.

(23) Prepara la cadena porque la tierra esta llena de crímenes sangrientos y al ciudad está llena de violencia.

(24) Por consiguiente, he de traer a los paganos más crueles que poseerán sus casas. Y haré que cese el orgullo de los fuertes, cuyos santuarios serán profanados.

(25) Viene el horror, buscarán a la paz y no la habrá.

(26) Vendrá calamidad sobre calamidad, rumor sobre rumor y buscarán una visión del profeta, mas la ley se habrá ya alejado del sacerdote y tambien el consejo de los ancianos.

(27) Se enlutará el rey, los principes se vestirán de asombro y quedarán debilitadas las manos del pueblo de la tierra. Les haré a ellos conforme a sus caminos, y de acuerdo con sus hábitos he de juzgarles y sabrán que Yo soy el Eterno.
