Yeshayahu – Isaiah – Chapter 26
| 1 On that day, this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: “The city that was our strength-salvation shall He place [for] walls and a bulwark. | אבַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא יוּשַׁ֥ר הַשִּׁיר־הַזֶּ֖ה בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֑ה עִ֣יר עָז־לָ֔נוּ יְשׁוּעָ֥ה יָשִׁ֖ית חוֹמ֥וֹת וָחֵֽל: | |
| 2 Open the gates, so that a righteous nation, awaiting the realization [of God’s promise], may enter. | בפִּתְח֖וּ שְׁעָרִ֑ים וְיָבֹ֥א גֽוֹי־צַדִּ֖יק שֹׁמֵ֥ר אֱמֻנִֽים: | |
| 3 The creature that relied, You shall guard, [that there be] peace, peace, for they trusted in You. | גיֵ֣צֶר סָמ֔וּךְ תִּצֹּ֖ר שָׁל֣וֹם | שָׁל֑וֹם כִּ֥י בְךָ֖ בָּטֽוּחַ: | |
| 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah the Lord, is the Rock of eternity. | דבִּטְח֥וּ בַֽיהֹוָ֖ה עֲדֵי־עַ֑ד כִּי בְּיָ֣הּ יְהֹוָ֔ה צ֖וּר עֽוֹלָמִֽים: | |
| 5 For He humbled the inhabitants of the high places, the fortified city; He brings it low, he brings it low even to the earth, he makes it reach even to the dust. | הכִּ֚י הֵשַׁח֙ יֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י מָר֔וֹם קִרְיָ֖ה נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה יַשְׁפִּילֶ֚נָּה יַשְׁפִּילָהּ֙ עַד־אֶ֔רֶץ יַגִּיעֶ֖נָּה עַד־עָפָֽר: | |
| 6 A foot shall trample it, the feet of a poor man, the soles of the impoverished. | ותִּרְמְסֶ֖נָּה רָ֑גֶל רַגְלֵ֥י עָנִ֖י פַּֽעֲמֵ֥י דַלִּֽים: | |
| 7 The way of the righteous that is straight-O Upright One, the path of the righteous, You shall weigh. | זאֹ֥רַח לַצַּדִּ֖יק מֵֽישָׁרִ֑ים יָשָׁ֕ר מַעְגַּ֥ל צַדִּ֖יק תְּפַלֵּֽס: | |
| 8 Even [for] the way of Your judgments, O Lord, have we hoped for You; for Your Name and for Your remembrance was the desire of [our] soul. | חאַ֣ף אֹ֧רַח מִשְׁפָּטֶ֛יךָ יְהֹוָ֖ה קִוִּינ֑וּךָ לְשִׁמְךָ֥ וּלְזִכְרְךָ֖ תַּֽאֲוַת־נָֽפֶשׁ: | |
| 9 [With] my soul I longed for you at night; even [with] my spirit within me I beseeched You, for when Your judgments [come] to the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn justification. | טנַפְשִׁ֚י אִוִּיתִ֙ךָ֙ בַּלַּ֔יְלָה אַף־רוּחִ֥י בְקִרְבִּ֖י אֲשַֽׁחֲרֶ֑ךָּ כִּ֞י כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֚ר מִשְׁפָּטֶ֙יךָ֙ לָאָ֔רֶץ צֶ֥דֶק לָֽמְד֖וּ יֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל: | |
| 10 Shall the wicked be favored-who did not learn righteousness? In the land of uprightness he deals unjustly, and he does not see the pride of the Lord. | ייֻחַ֚ן רָשָׁע֙ בַּל־לָמַ֣ד צֶ֔דֶק בְּאֶ֥רֶץ נְכֹח֖וֹת יְעַוֵּ֑ל וּבַל־יִרְאֶ֖ה גֵּא֥וּת יְהֹוָֽה: | |
| 11 O Lord, Your hand has been taken away that they not see; let them see and be ashamed. The envy of a people, even the fire that shall consume Your enemies. | יאיְהֹוָ֛ה רָ֥מָה יָֽדְךָ֖ בַּל־יֶחֱזָי֑וּן יֶֽחֱז֚וּ וְיֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ קִנְאַת־עָ֔ם אַף־אֵ֖שׁ צָרֶ֥יךָ תֹֽאכְלֵֽם: | |
| 12 O Lord, You shall prepare peace for us, for also the recompense for all our deeds have You dealt to us. | יביְהֹוָ֕ה תִּשְׁפֹּ֥ת שָׁל֖וֹם לָ֑נוּ כִּ֛י גַּם־כָּל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֖ינוּ פָּעַ֥לְתָּ לָּֽנוּ: | |
| 13 O Lord, our God, masters other than You have possessed us. Only concerning You will we mention Your name. | יגיְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּעָל֥וּנוּ אֲדֹנִ֖ים זֽוּלָתֶ֑ךָ לְבַד־בְּךָ֖ נַזְכִּ֥יר שְׁמֶֽךָ: | |
| 14 The dead shall not live, slackers shall not rise; therefore, You visited [upon them] and You destroyed them; You have put an end to any memory of them. | ידמֵתִים֙ בַּל־יִ֣חְי֔וּ רְפָאִ֖ים בַּל־יָקֻ֑מוּ לָכֵ֚ן פָּקַ֙דְתָּ֙ וַתַּשְׁמִידֵ֔ם וַתְּאַבֵּ֥ד כָּל־זֵ֖כֶר לָֽמוֹ: | |
| 15 You have added to the nation, O Lord; You have added to the nation and have been honored; You have rejected all the ends of the earth. | טויָסַ֚פְתָּ לַגּוֹי֙ יְהֹוָ֔ה יָסַ֥פְתָּ לַגּ֖וֹי נִכְבָּ֑דְתָּ רִחַ֖קְתָּ כָּל־קַצְוֵי־אָֽרֶץ: | |
| 16 O Lord, in their straits they remembered You; they pour out prayer when Your chastening is upon them. | טזיְהֹוָ֖ה בַּצַּ֣ר פְּקָד֑וּךָ צָק֣וּן לַ֔חַשׁ מוּסָֽרְךָ֖ לָֽמוֹ: | |
| 17 As a pregnant woman comes near to give birth, she shudders, she screams in her pangs, so were we because of You, O Lord. | יזכְּמ֚וֹ הָרָה֙ תַּקְרִ֣יב לָלֶ֔דֶת תָּחִ֥יל תִּזְעַ֖ק בַּֽחֲבָלֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֛ן הָיִ֥ינוּ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ יְהֹוָֽה: | |
| 18 We conceived, we shuddered, as though we bore wind; we wreak no salvations [in] the land, neither do the inhabitants of the world fall. | יחהָרִ֣ינוּ חַ֔לְנוּ כְּמ֖וֹ יָלַ֣דְנוּ ר֑וּחַ יְשׁוּעֹת֙ בַּל־נַ֣עֲשֶׂה אֶ֔רֶץ וּבַֽל־יִפְּל֖וּ יֹֽשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל: | |
| 19 May Your dead live, ‘My corpses shall rise; awaken and sing, you who dwell in the dust, for a dew of lights is your dew, and [to the] earth You shall cast the slackers. | יטיִֽחְי֣וּ מֵתֶ֔יךָ נְבֵֽלָתִ֖י יְקוּמ֑וּן הָקִ֨יצוּ וְרַנְּנ֜וּ שֹֽׁכְנֵ֣י עָפָ֗ר כִּ֣י טַ֚ל אוֹרֹת֙ טַלֶּ֔ךָ וָאָ֖רֶץ רְפָאִ֥ים תַּפִּֽיל: | |
| 20 Go, My people, come into your chambers and close your door about you; hide for but a moment, until the wrath passes. | כלֵ֚ךְ עַמִּי֙ בֹּ֣א בַֽחֲדָרֶ֔יךָ וּֽסְגֹ֥ר דְּלָֽתְךָ֖ (כתיב דְּלָֽתְיךָ֖) בַּֽעֲדֶ֑ךָ חֲבִ֥י כִמְעַט־רֶ֖גַע עַד־יַֽעֲבָר־ (כתיב יַֽעֲבָור־) זָֽעַם: | |
| 21 For behold the Lord comes forth from His place to visit the iniquity of the dweller of the land upon him: and the land shall reveal its blood and it shall no longer conceal its slain ones. | כאכִּֽי־הִנֵּ֚ה יְהֹוָה֙ יֹצֵ֣א מִמְּקוֹמ֔וֹ לִפְקֹ֛ד עֲוֹ֥ן יֽשֵׁב־הָאָ֖רֶץ עָלָ֑יו וְגִלְּתָ֚ה הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת־דָּמֶ֔יהָ וְלֹֽא־תְכַסֶּ֥ה ע֖וֹד עַל־הֲרוּגֶֽיהָ: |
Isaías 26
(1) En aquel día, será entonado este cántico en la tierra de Judá: Tenemos una ciudad fuerte. Él pone muros y baluartes para la salvación.
(2) Abrid las puertas para que pueda entrar la nación justa que guardó fidelidad.
(3) Al alma que se apoya en Ti, Tú la guardarás en perfecta paz porque confía en Ti.
(4) Confiad en el Eterno para siempre porque el Eterno es Dios, una roca Eterna.
(5) Por cuanto Él ha humillado a los soberbios, a la ciudad altanera, humillando, rebajándola hasta el suelo, reduciendola hasta el polvo;
(6) el pie la pisoteará y los pies de los pobres y de los necesitados los hollarán.
(7) El camino del justo es recto, Tú, el más recto, haces llano el camino del justo.
(8) Sí, en el camino de Tus juicios, oh Eterno. Te hemos esperado. Tu Nombre, Tu memoria es el anhelo de nuestra alma.
(9) Con mi alma, Te he anhelado en la noche. Sí, con mi espíritu dentro de mí te he buscado porque cuando tus juicios están en la tierra, los moradores del mundo aprenden justicia.
(10) Aunque al malvado se le favorezca, no aprenderá la rectitud. En la tierra de la rectitud seguirá obrando mal y no considerará la majestad del Eterno.
(11) Oh Eterno, Tu mano se alzó, pero ellos no ven. Verán con vergüenza Tu celo por el pueblo. Sí, el fuego devorará a Tus adversarios.
(12) Oh Eterno, Tú establecerás la paz para nosotros, porque Tú has hecho verdaderamente nuestras obras para nosotros.
(13) Oh Eterno, Dios nuestro, otros señores aparte de Ti han tenido dominio sobre nosotros pero solamente por Ti mencionamos Tu Nombre
(14) Los muertos no viven, las sombras no se levantan. Hasta el fin, los has castigado y destruido y has hecho que su memoria perezca.
(15) Te has glorificado con las naciones, oh Eterno. Sí, te has añadido gloria con las naciones. Te has glorificado hasta los extremos más remotos de la tierra.
(16) Oh Eterno, acudieron a Ti en la angustia. Silenciosamente volcaron una oración cuando sobre ellos vino su castigo.
(17) Como mujer embarazada que está por dar a luz y clama por sus dolores, así hemos estado en Tu presencia, oh Eterno.
(18) Hemos estado como preñados, hemos tenido dolores de parto, hemos quedado como si hubiéramos parido el viento. Nada hemos dado a luz en la tierra, ni han vueltoa la vida los moradores del mundo.
(19) Pero vivirán Tus muertos. Los cadaveres de mi pueblo se levantarán. Despertad y cantad, vosotros que moráis en el polvo. Porque Tu rocío es como el rocío de La Luz y la tierra hará vivir las sombras.
(20) ven, pueblo mío, entra en tus habitaciones y cierra tus puertas en tu torno. Ocultate por un solo momento hasta que pase la indignación.
(21) Porque he aquí que viene el Eterno de Su lugar para castigar a los habitantes de la tierra por su iniquidad. También la tierra descubrirá su sangre y no cubrirá más a sus muertos.
