Yirmiyahu – Jeremiah – Chapter 33

1 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still confined in the prison yard, saying:		אוַיְהִ֧י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ שֵׁנִ֑ית וְהוּא֙ עוֹדֶ֣נּוּ עָצ֔וּר בַּֽחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר:
2 So said the Lord, the Maker thereof, Who formed it to prepare it; the Lord is His Name.		בכֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה עֹשָׂ֑הּ יְהֹוָ֗ה יוֹצֵ֥ר אוֹתָ֛הּ לַֽהֲכִינָ֖הּ יְהֹוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ:
3 Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and strong things that you do not know.		גקְרָ֥א אֵלַ֖י וְאֶֽעֱנֶ֑ךָּ וְאַגִּ֧ידָה לְּךָ֛ גְּדֹל֥וֹת וּבְצֻר֖וֹת לֹ֥א יְדַעְתָּֽם:
4 For so said the Lord God of Israel concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah that are demolished for the mounds and for the sword.		דכִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֚ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַל־בָּתֵּי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את וְעַל־בָּתֵּ֖י מַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה הַנְּתֻצִ֕ים אֶל־הַסֹּֽלְל֖וֹת וְאֶל־הֶחָֽרֶב:
5 They come to war with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of the men whom I have smitten with My anger and with My wrath, and that which I have hidden My face from this city because of all their evil.		הבָּאִ֗ים לְהִלָּחֵם֙ אֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּלְמַלְּאָם֙ אֶת־פִּגְרֵ֣י הָֽאָדָ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הִכֵּ֥יתִי בְאַפִּ֖י וּבַֽחֲמָתִ֑י וַֽאֲשֶׁ֨ר הִסְתַּ֚רְתִּי פָנַי֙ מֵהָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את עַ֖ל כָּל־רָֽעָתָֽם:
6 Behold, I will bring it healing and cure, and I will cure them, and I will reveal to them a greeting of peace and truth.		והִֽנְנִ֧י מַֽעֲלֶה־לָּ֛הּ אֲרֻכָ֥ה וּמַרְפֵּ֖א וּרְפָאתִ֑ם וְגִלֵּיתִ֣י לָהֶ֔ם עֲתֶ֥רֶת שָׁל֖וֹם וֶאֱמֶֽת:
7 And I will return the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and build them up like at first.		זוַֽהֲשִֽׁבֹתִי֙ אֶת־שְׁב֣וּת יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֵ֖ת שְׁב֣וּת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּבְנִתִ֖ים כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה:
8 And I will purify them of all their iniquity that they sinned against Me, and I will forgive all their iniquities that they sinned against Me and that they rebelled against Me.		חוְטִ֣הַרְתִּ֔ים מִכָּל־עֲו‍ֹנָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ־לִ֑י וְסָלַחְתִּ֗י לְכָל־(כתיב לְכָול) עֲו‍ֹנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ־לִ֔י וַֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר פָּ֥שְׁעוּ בִֽי:
9 And it shall be to Me for a name of joy, for praise and for glory to all the nations of the earth who will hear all the good that I do for them and fear and tremble because of all the good and because of all the peace that I do for it.		טוְהָ֣יְתָה לִּ֔י לְשֵׁ֚ם שָׂשׂוֹן֙ לִתְהִלָּ֣ה וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת לְכֹ֖ל גּוֹיֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשְׁמְע֜וּ אֶת־כָּל־הַטּוֹבָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֚ר אָֽנֹכִי֙ עֹשֶׂ֣ה אוֹתָ֔ם וּפָֽחֲד֣וּ וְרָֽגְז֗וּ עַ֚ל כָּל־הַטּוֹבָה֙ וְעַ֣ל כָּל־הַשָּׁל֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָֽנֹכִ֖י עֹ֥שֶׂה לָּֽהּ:
10 So said the Lord: There shall again be heard in this place, concerning which you say, “It is desolate without man and without beast,” in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate without a man and without an inhabitant and without a beast,		יכֹּ֣ה | אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה עוֹד֘ יִשָּׁמַ֣ע בַּמָּקֽוֹם־הַזֶּה֒ אֲשֶׁר֙ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹֽמְרִ֔ים חָרֵ֣ב ה֔וּא מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֖ם וּמֵאֵ֣ין בְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּעָרֵ֚י יְהוּדָה֙ וּבְחֻצ֣וֹת יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם הַֽנְשַׁמּ֗וֹת מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֛ם וּמֵאֵ֥ין יוֹשֵׁ֖ב וּמֵאֵ֥ין בְּהֵמָֽה:
11 the sound of mirth and the sound of joy, the voice of a bridegroom and the voice of a bride, the sound of those saying, “Thank the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good, for His loving-kindness endures forever,” bringing a thanksgiving offering to the House of the Lord, for I will restore the captivity of the land as at first, said the Lord.		יאק֣וֹל שָׂשׂ֞וֹן וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֗ה ק֣וֹל חָתָן֘ וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּה֒ ק֣וֹל אֹֽמְרִ֡ים הוֹדוּ֩ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת כִּֽי־ט֚וֹב יְהֹוָה֙ כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּ֔וֹ מְבִאִ֥ים תּוֹדָ֖ה בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּֽי־אָשִׁ֧יב אֶת־שְׁבֽוּת־הָאָ֛רֶץ כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה:
12 So said the Lord of Hosts: There shall again be in this place that is waste without man or beast, and in all its cities a dwelling of shepherds resting [their] flocks.		יבכֹּֽה־אָמַר֘ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ ע֞וֹד יִֽהְיֶ֣ה | בַּמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה הֶֽחָרֵ֛ב מֵאֵֽין־אָדָ֥ם וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֖ה וּבְכָל־עָרָ֑יו נְוֵ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים מַרְבִּצִ֖ים צֹֽאן:
13 In the cities of the mountain, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the Negev and in the land of Benjamin and in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, flocks shall again pass under the hands of one who counts them, said the Lord.		יגבְּעָרֵ֨י הָהָ֜ר בְּעָרֵ֚י הַשְּׁפֵלָה֙ וּבְעָרֵ֣י הַנֶּ֔גֶב וּבְאֶ֧רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֛ן וּבִסְבִיבֵ֥י יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם וּבְעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה עֹ֣ד תַּֽעֲבֹ֧רְנָה הַצֹּ֛אן עַל־יְדֵ֥י מוֹנֶ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה:
14 Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will establish the good thing that I spoke concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.		ידהִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה וַֽהֲקִֽמֹתִי֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַטּ֔וֹב אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֛רְתִּי אֶל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְעַל־בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה:
15 In those days and in that time I will cause to grow for David a plant of righteousness, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.		טובַּיָּמִ֚ים הָהֵם֙ וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא אַצְמִ֥יחַ לְדָוִ֖ד צֶ֣מַח צְדָקָ֑ה וְעָשָׂ֛ה מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ:
16 In those days, Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell securely and this is the name that He shall call it, the Lord is our righteousness.		טזבַּיָּמִ֚ים הָהֵם֙ תִּוָּשַׁ֣ע יְהוּדָ֔ה וִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם תִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן לָבֶ֑טַח וְזֶ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־יִקְרָא־לָ֖הּ יְהֹוָ֥ה | צִדְקֵֽנוּ:
17 For so said the Lord: There shall not be cut off from David a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.		יזכִּי־כֹ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה לֹֽא־יִכָּרֵ֣ת לְדָוִ֔ד אִ֕ישׁ ישֵׁ֖ב עַל־כִּסֵּ֥א בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל:
18And of the Levitic priests, there shall not be cut off from before Me a man offering up a burnt offering, or burning a meal-offering or performing a sacrifice for all time.		יחוְלַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הַֽלְוִיִּ֔ם לֹֽא־יִכָּרֵ֥ת אִ֖ישׁ מִלְּפָנָ֑י מַֽעֲלֶ֨ה עוֹלָ֜ה וּמַקְטִ֥יר מִנְחָ֛ה וְעֹ֥שֶׂה זֶּ֖בַח כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים:
19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:		יטוַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֽוֹר:
20 So said the Lord: If you break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, and not to have day and night in their time.		ככֹּה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אִם־תָּפֵ֙רוּ֙ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם וְאֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י הַלָּ֑יְלָה וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י הֱי֥וֹת יוֹמָֽם־וָלַ֖יְלָה בְּעִתָּֽם:
21 Also My covenant with David shall be broken, that he should not have a son reigning on his throne, and with the Levitic priests, My ministers.		כאגַּם־בְּרִיתִ֚י תֻפַר֙ אֶת־דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י מִֽהְיוֹת־ל֥וֹ בֵ֖ן מֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל־כִּסְא֑וֹ וְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֥ם הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים מְשָֽׁרְתָֽי:
22 Just as the host of heaven cannot be counted nor can the sand of the sea be measured, so will I increase the seed of My servant David and the Levites who minister to Me.		כבאֲשֶׁ֚ר לֹֽא־יִסָּפֵר֙ צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְלֹ֥א יִמַּ֖ד ח֣וֹל הַיָּ֑ם כֵּ֣ן אַרְבֶּ֗ה אֶת־זֶ֙רַע֙ דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י וְאֶת־הַֽלְוִיִּ֖ם מְשָֽׁרְתֵ֥י אֹתִֽי:
23 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:		כגוַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר:
24 Have you not seen what this people has spoken saying: The two families that God chose, He has rejected, and they make My people despise being a nation any longer before them.		כדהֲל֣וֹא רָאִ֗יתָ מָֽה־הָעָ֚ם הַזֶּה֙ דִּבְּר֣וּ לֵאמֹ֔ר שְׁתֵּ֣י הַמִּשְׁפָּח֗וֹת אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּחַ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה בָּהֶ֖ם וַיִּמְאָסֵ֑ם וְאֶת־עַמִּי֙ יִנְאָצ֔וּן מִֽהְי֥וֹת ע֖וֹד גּ֥וֹי לִפְנֵיהֶֽם:
25 So said the Lord: If not My covenant with the day and the night, that the statutes of heaven and earth I did not place,		כהכֹּה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אִם־לֹ֥א בְרִיתִ֖י יוֹמָ֣ם וָלָ֑יְלָה חֻקּ֛וֹת שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָ֖רֶץ לֹא־שָֽׂמְתִּי:
26 Also will I reject the seed of Jacob and David, My servant, not to take from his seed rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, when I bring back their captivity and have mercy upon them.		כוגַּם־זֶ֣רַע יַֽ֠עֲקוֹב וְדָוִ֨ד עַבְדִּ֜י אֶמְאַ֗ס מִקַּ֚חַת מִזַּרְעוֹ֙ מֹֽשְׁלִ֔ים אֶל־זֶ֥רַע אַבְרָהָ֖ם יִשְׂחָ֣ק וְיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב כִּֽי־אָשִׁ֥יב (כתיב אָשִׁ֥וב) אֶת־שְׁבוּתָ֖ם וְרִֽחַמְתִּֽים:

JEREMÍAS 33

33  Vino palabra de Jehová a Jeremías la segunda vez, estando él aún preso en el patio de la cárcel, diciendo:

² Así ha dicho Jehová, que hizo la tierra, Jehová que la formó para afirmarla; Jehová es su nombre:

³ Clama a mí, y yo te responderé, y te enseñaré cosas grandes y ocultas que tú no conoces.

⁴ Porque así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel acerca de las casas de esta ciudad, y de las casas de los reyes de Judá, derribadas con arietes y con hachas

⁵ (porque vinieron para pelear contra los caldeos, para llenarlas de cuerpos de hombres muertos, a los cuales herí yo con mi furor y con mi ira, pues escondí mi rostro de esta ciudad a causa de toda su maldad):

⁶ He aquí que yo les traeré sanidad y medicina; y los curaré, y les revelaré abundancia de paz y de verdad.

⁷ Y haré volver los cautivos de Judá y los cautivos de Israel, y los restableceré como al principio.

⁸ Y los limpiaré de toda su maldad con que pecaron contra mí; y perdonaré todos sus pecados con que contra mí pecaron, y con que contra mí se rebelaron.

⁹ Y me será a mí por nombre de gozo, de alabanza y de gloria, entre todas las naciones de la tierra, que habrán oído todo el bien que yo les hago; y temerán y temblarán de todo el bien y de toda la paz que yo les haré.

¹⁰ Así ha dicho Jehová: En este lugar, del cual decís que está desierto sin hombres y sin animales, en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén, que están asoladas, sin hombre y sin morador y sin animal,

¹¹ ha de oírse aún voz de gozo y de alegría, voz de desposado y voz de desposada, voz de los que digan: Alabad a Jehová de los ejércitos, porque Jehová es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia; voz de los que traigan ofrendas de acción de gracias a la casa de Jehová. Porque volveré a traer los cautivos de la tierra como al principio, ha dicho Jehová.

¹² Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: En este lugar desierto, sin hombre y sin animal, y en todas sus ciudades, aún habrá cabañas de pastores que hagan pastar sus ganados.

¹³ En las ciudades de las montañas, en las ciudades de la Sefela, en las ciudades del Neguev, en la tierra de Benjamín, y alrededor de Jerusalén y en las ciudades de Judá, aún pasarán ganados por las manos del que los cuente, ha dicho Jehová.

¹⁴ He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que yo confirmaré la buena palabra que he hablado a la casa de Israel y a la casa de Judá.

¹⁵ En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo haré brotar a David un Renuevo de justicia, y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.

¹⁶ En aquellos días Judá será salvo, y Jerusalén habitará segura, y se le llamará: Jehová, justicia nuestra.

¹⁷ Porque así ha dicho Jehová: No faltará a David varón que se siente sobre el trono de la casa de Israel.

¹⁸ Ni a los sacerdotes y levitas faltará varón que delante de mí ofrezca holocausto y encienda ofrenda, y que haga sacrificio todos los días.

¹⁹ Vino palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo:

²⁰ Así ha dicho Jehová: Si pudiereis invalidar mi pacto con el día y mi pacto con la noche, de tal manera que no haya día ni noche a su tiempo,

²¹ podrá también invalidarse mi pacto con mi siervo David, para que deje de tener hijo que reine sobre su trono, y mi pacto con los levitas y sacerdotes, mis ministros.

²² Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena del mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la descendencia de David mi siervo, y los levitas que me sirven.

²³ Vino palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo:

²⁴ ¿No has echado de ver lo que habla este pueblo, diciendo: Dos familias que Jehová escogiera ha desechado? Y han tenido en poco a mi pueblo, hasta no tenerlo más por nación.

²⁵ Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no permanece mi pacto con el día y la noche, si yo no he puesto las leyes del cielo y la tierra,

²⁶ también desecharé la descendencia de Jacob, y de David mi siervo, para no tomar de su descendencia quien sea señor sobre la posteridad de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob. Porque haré volver sus cautivos, y tendré de ellos misericordia.
