Tzedek, Tzedek tirdof — Justice, justice shall your pursue / Justicia, Justicia perseguirás.

Justice, along with love and compassion, is chief among God´s moral attributes, and therefore chief among the qualities God demands of human beings in their conduct towards one another. There is no contradiction between the two principles. Justice, it has been said, requires that human rights  should be respected; love, that human needs should be satisfied. But the converse is also true; and it is a matter of justice that we should love our neighbor no less than we love ourselves.

La justicia, junto con el amor y la compasión, es el principal entre los atributos morales de Dios y, por lo tanto, es una de las principales cualidades que Dios exige a los seres humanos en su conducta hacia los demás. No hay contradicción entre los dos principios. La justicia, se ha dicho, exige que se respeten los derechos humanos; Amor, las necesidades humanas deben estar satisfechas. Pero, también es verdad; y es una cuestión de justicia que amemos a nuestro prójimo tanto como a nosotros mismos.

To be just is to be angry when justicie is violated.

To be just to choose just means to right wrongs

Ser justo, es enojarse cuando se viola la justicia.

To be just is to wish that the guilty be connected and the innocent acquitted.

To be just is to withhold judgment until the facts are known.

Ser justo, es desear que el culpable sea condenado y el inocente absuelto.

To be just is to listen to all opinions.

To be just is to give every person the benefit of any doubt.

Ser justo, es escuchar todas las opiniones.

To be just is to demand justice for others as well as yourself

To be just is to demand justice for other people as well as your own.

Ser justo, es exigir justicia para los demás y para usted mismo.

Ser justo,  es exigir justicia para otras personas además de la suya.

To be just is to desire that the rights of all shall be respected.

To be just is to desire that the needs of all shall be satisfied

Ser justo, es desear que se respeten los derechos de todos.

Ser justo, es desear que las necesidades de todos sean satisfechas

To be just is to disbelieves that the rich deserve to be rich and the poor deserve to be poor

To be just is to disbelieve that the successful are more to be respected that the unsuccessful

Ser justo, es no creer que los ricos merecen ser ricos y los pobres merecen ser pobres.

Ser justo, es no creer que los exitosos son más respetados que los fracasados

To be just is to reverence the Divine Image in every human being.

To be just is to work for a society in which these ideals are realized.

Ser justo, es reverenciar la Imagen Divina en cada ser humano.

Ser justo, es trabajar para una sociedad en la que estos ideales se realizan.

Be with us, o God, when we strive to do Your Will. Teach os to see that the men and women about us are our brother and sister; and fill us with an ardent love for all Your creatures, that we may never wrong them, or exploit  them, or take advantage of anyone´s weakness or ignorance.

Quédate con nosotros, oh Dios, cuando nos esforzamos por hacer tu voluntad. Enseñanos a ver que los hombres y mujeres que nos rodean son nuestros hermanos y hermanas; y llénanos de un amor ardiente por todas Tus criaturas, para que nunca las maltratemos, ni las explotemos, ni aprovechemos la debilidad o la ignorancia de nadie.

Kindle in us a passion for righteousness. grant us the vision to see that only justicie can endure, and that only in being just to one another can we make our lives acceptable to You. may our thoughts and our deeds hasten the time when wrong and violence shall cease, and justice will be established throughout the world .

Encienda en nosotros una pasión por la rectitud. Concédenos la visión de ver que solo la justicia puede perdurar, y que solo por el hecho de ser uno con el otro, podemos hacer que nuestras vidas sean aceptables para ti. Que nuestros pensamientos y nuestras acciones aceleren el tiempo cuando el mal y la violencia cesen, y la justicia se establecerá en todo el mundo.
